Canada Express Entry PR Process Flow

Eligibility Check :

Assess your eligibility for the Express Entry program based on factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency (English or French), and adaptability.

Create Express Entry Profile :

Set up an online profile in the Express Entry system, providing accurate details about your qualifications, work experience, and other relevant information.

Submit PR Application :

After receiving the ITA, submit your complete permanent residency application within the specified time frame.

Medical Exam and Biometrics :

Complete a medical examination and provide biometrics to meet the admissibility requirements for permanent residency.

Background Check :

Undergo background checks and verifications as part of the permanent residency application process.

Visa Grant :

If your application is approved, you will receive a visa grant notification, confirming your permanent residency status.

Permanent Residency Approval :

If your PR application is approved, you will receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a Permanent Resident Visa.

Travel to Canada :

Arrange your travel to Canada and activate your permanent residency status upon arrival.

Non-Express Entry PR Process Flow

Choose a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) :

Select the most appropriate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) based on your qualifications, work experience, and the province’s requirements.

Apply to the PNP :

Submit your application to the chosen PNP and await a nomination from the province.

Receive Provincial Nomination :

After receiving a provincial nomination, you will be eligible to apply for permanent residency through the Non-Express Entry stream.

Submit PR Application :

Complete and submit your permanent residency application to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Medical Exam and Background Check :

Undergo a medical exam and complete background checks as part of the PR application process.

PR Approval :

If your application is approved, you will receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a Permanent Resident Visa.

Travel to Canada :

Plan your travel to Canada and establish your permanent residency status in the province that nominated you.
