Australia Immigration Process for Skilled Workers

Skill Assessment :

SkillSelect: Create an Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect, providing details about your skills, qualifications, and work experience.

Skills Assessment: Have your qualifications and work experience assessed by the relevant Australian assessing authority for your occupation. This ensures your credentials meet Australian standards.

English Language Proficiency :

English Test: Complete an approved English language test, such as IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL, or Cambridge English, and achieve the necessary scores for your chosen visa subclass.

Occupation List :

Review the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) or the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL) to ensure your occupation is in demand in Australia.

Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) :

Submit your EOI via SkillSelect, indicating your intent to apply for a skilled visa. Your EOI will be ranked based on points awarded for factors like age, qualifications, work experience, and English proficiency.

Invitation to Apply (ITA) :

If you meet the points threshold and your EOI is selected, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a skilled visa.

Visa Application :

Choose Visa Subclass: Select the appropriate visa subclass, such as Subclass 189 (Skilled Independent Visa) or Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated Visa).

Lodge Visa Application: Submit a complete visa application, including required documents, proof of funds, health assessments, character certificates, and biometrics.

Points Test :

Ensure you meet the minimum points requirement for the skilled migration points test, based on factors like age, English proficiency, work experience, education, and other relevant criteria.

Health and Character Checks :

Complete health assessments and provide character certificates to demonstrate that you meet Australia's health and character requirements.

Visa Grant :

If your application is approved, you will receive a visa grant notification, allowing you to live, work, and study in Australia under the skilled visa subclass you applied for.

Permanent Residency Approval :

If successful, you will receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a Permanent Resident Visa.

Move to Australia :

Finalize your arrangements to move to Australia, activate your visa upon arrival, and begin your new life as a skilled migrant in Australia.
